GIS WORK

These are the projects that I have created and worked on while learning and growing my GIS portfolio. New projects are in progress, and this page will be updated when those projects are completed.

US STATES AFFORDABILITY

This project compared all the 50 states to determine which state gives first time home buyers or renters the best bang for their buck when involving factors such as cost of goods, tax rate, and home prices. The outcome of this project is that the cheapest state to live in, isn't necessarily the best option, due to undesirable factors. The best states to choose from are in the mid-range to the teens in this ranking.

This was another 50 state comparison. However, instead of looking at cheapness only, this compares all desirable factors that would encourage people to live somewhere. These factors include nightlife, food quality, gas rates, home affordability natural scenery and weather.

According to this mashup- Montana was the winner with the best balance of all factors.
